Leeds Post-punk quartet Post War Glamour Girls have shared a video for their new single ‘Organ Donor’.
The video was made by the band’s own Alice Scott and James Smith and is the product of several sleepless nights staring at the glitchy, strobing visuals that accompany the track, taken from the band’s upcoming third album Swan Songs.
But enough preamble already, just watch the video here: it’s ace.
Hard-gigging NY experimental noise rock duo Cinema Cinema offer a taste of their upcoming fourth album, Man Bites Dog with the streaming track ‘Taxi Driver’.
Writing for the album began after the band returned from a 50+ date North American tour, opening for Black Flag in summer 2014. The band spent time road testing the brand new material over the course of two European tours and scattered US dates in 2015, before settling back into BC Studio (Brooklyn, New York) by years’ end to start recording.
Produced by Martin Bisi (Swans, Dresden Dolls, Sonic Youth, etc.), the album is set for release on 28th April via Labelship (Vinyl/CD/Digital) in the UK/EU and Dullest Records (Cassette) in the USA.
If ‘Taxi Driver’ is in any way representative, it’ll be a belter. Check out ‘Taxi Driver’ here:
Scott Morgan (aka loscil) and Mark Bridges have together produced their debut album as High Plains, taking to the high altitudes of mountainous Wyoming to create a record faithful to both the grand landscapes extending below them and the rich contemporary electronic pedigree of the respective members. Titled Cinderland, the LP will be coming out via kranky in March, and ahead of its release, you can hear the track ‘Black Shimmer’, which we like very much indeed.
In a partnership with Lost Colony Music, Bar None Records is releasing the improbable-in-concept yet perfect-in-practice collaboration between Moore & power pop icon Jason Falkner. Make It Be will be released on Friday, March 10, 2017. The majority of songs were composed by Moore with one Falkner composition, a Roger Ferguson/Moore cowrite, a surprising cover of ‘Don’t You Just Know It’, and five co-writes between the two sprinkled throughout.
Ahead of the album’s release, they’ve posted a stream of ‘Another Day Slips Away’ by way of a taster, and you can listen to it here:

The press release: ‘Punk Slime Recordings are proud to present the Belgian garage punk quartet Mind Rays and their debut album Nerve Endings. Mind Rays have quickly emerged as one of the most exciting new garage acts in mainland Europe, and with Nerve Endings they’re set to take over the world. Lead single ‘Still & All’ was released in November and second single ‘Demuie’ is out now, with the full-length arriving on March 24 via PNKSLM Recordings, and now they’ve shared a video for ‘Demuie’ as well, directed by Thomas Peeters. UK & EU tour dates around the album release to be announced, including their debut London show in mid-March.
We at Aural Aggravation really rate ‘Demuie’, which is why we’re streamng the video here:
We love a scuzzy, messed-up, lo-fi, post-punk, no-wave racket here at Aural Aggro. There’s no shortage of bands around who fit the bill, but the email that alerted us to the existence of London trio Girls in Synthesis, and the imminent release of their debut single, double A-side ‘The Mound / Disappear’ (set for release on March 17th) made our day.
Listen here and you’ll easily get why:
Live dates:
Thursday 16th March: The Lock Tavern – London, UK
Saturday 25th March: Deptford Vinyl instore – London, UK

You’re here. YOu’ve probably deduced that we’re in psychedelic rock territory here. Sun Abduction surfaced in 2015 in Brooklyn with the release of their autonomous self titled EP. Heavily involved in the NYC underground psychedelic scene, Sun Abduction are back with two new singles – or, indeed, a digital double A-side, if you like – with ‘Acid Pyramid / Pale Rider’ ahead of a nine-date US string and to introduce their debut LP.
You can watch the video for ‘Acid Pyramid’ here, and the tour dates are below for those fortunate enough to live on the US west coast.
