Northern Netherlands metallic hardcore outfit Boneripper unveils music video for “Deeds Define,” the final preview from their upcoming second record, Radiant in Ruin, set for release this Friday, 26 June, on vinyl and CD as well as across digital platforms.

Says Boneripper: “‘Deeds Define’ is about choosing action over empty words. In a world full of noise, outrage, and endless debate, it reminds us that character is built by what we do — not what we claim to believe. Instead of arguing about what a good person should be, this song calls for leading by example and living your values every day. Because in the end, truth is not spoken — it is lived.”

Boneripper’s Radiant in Ruin stares straight into the current world, a world full of corruption, violence, environmental collapse, and social fracture. It calls out power structures, hypocrisy, and collective denial, but keeps circling back to the idea that survival isn’t granted, it’s chosen. It’s bleak, but not passive: more a warning shouted through clenched teeth than a lament, standing against oppression and refusing to break under pressure.

Boneripper will play Hostile Territory, a benefit festival in Dordrecht, on 26 June. A record release show in Leeuwarden is scheduled for 3 July, followed by an appearance supporting Agnostic Front in Rotterdam on 5 July. In addition, a slew of shows are lined up for this year.

French metallic hardcore force Beyond the Styx reveals the third and final single, ‘Deadlock V,’ from their upcoming album DIVID, due out May 08 via Innerstrength Records. This politically charged track arrives alongside a music video.

Speaking on ‘Deadlock V’, BTSTYX vocalist Emile states: “How could the Western world have remained impassive for so long in the face of the genocide unfolding in the Gaza Strip? How can the legacy of a martyred people allow its own leaders to become the shameless executioners of their own neighbors?

“These are the main questions that tormented my mind during the relentless months of deadly bombings that raged between October 2023 and February 2024 against the people of Gaza. During this period, the Israeli army reportedly dropped more than 25,000 tons of explosives (the equivalent of two nuclear bombs), according to a UN committee of experts.

“Echoing all this suffering was a heavy, mechanical, numbing riff which resonated with me like the echo of the bombings my own gaze fled from each day in the media. Too much blood and too many tears have been shed for my pen to remain unmoved by such suffering and senselessness. How can the innocence of our children ever be protected from this kind of abuse in the future?

“The feeling of fear wreaks havoc on life beyond compare. Understanding the mechanisms at work is essential in a world where emotion reigns supreme, filtered through the media, without losing sight of the fact that the only thing we should fear is fear itself. The fear of dying, or, ultimately, the fear of living?

“This song thus concludes the thematic triptych: amnesia / war / revenge, culminating in the revelation of DIVID.”

Hailed as a “hardcore Toxic Holocaust,” Wellington’s Brainwave channel the grit of Drain, Mindforce, and Forced Order into a thrashing, metallic hardcore attack all their own. After years of cementing their reputation as one of New Zealand’s most ferocious live bands, the five-piece now take the next step with their debut full-length Ill Intent, arriving October 22, 2025.

Recently, the band have dropped a new video for the album’s title track ‘Ill Intent’, featuring guest vocals from Luke Manson of Xile. The track exemplifies the record’s dual spirit, deeply personal yet politically charged, raging with both despair and defiance.

“It’s an extremely personal record, albeit one set against the backdrop of a world tearing itself apart. It’s about hopelessness, the pain of loss, and the brutality of everyday life. But it’s also about conquering the summit, overcoming both yourself and your detractors,” the band shares.

The making of Ill Intent marked a turning point for Brainwave. They grew from a four- to five-piece with the addition of guitarist Ian Moore, forged a close production partnership with Lewis Noke-Edwards, and invited some key figures from New Zealand’s hardcore scene, including members of Lucre, Molosser, Martial Law, and Xile.
The result is a ten-track album that captures both the personal and the political, a raw, unflinching document of struggle, but also a rallying cry to fight back.

Watch: ‘Touched By The Void’ by Obstruktion

Gothenburg’s metallic hardcore crew Obstruktion have just dropped a brand-new music video for their latest single, ‘Touched by the Void’ and it hits with the force of a collapsing world.

Taken from the band’s highly anticipated second album The End Takes Form, which is set to be released on May 30 via Suicide Records, this track shows Obstruktion at their most intense, merging pummeling hardcore grooves, death metal heaviness, and raw emotional catharsis.

Much like ‘Death Comes Near’ it draws heavily from our roots in Swedish death metal, but we wanted to expand on that with a hardcore intensity that reflects the urgency of the themes we’re exploring,"
